Tomorrow Mac and I will head to Boerne to take my paintings and another artist friend work to The Cibolo Nature Center for the Art & Conservation Art Show. I am looking forward to going to see old friends and spending the night with my sister and brother in law. Though I must admit I am not looking forward to the trip down there and back. Its very hard on my body to have to travel that far, which is why my husband does the driving. I would not be able to paint with out him, he is my photographer and general pack horse. I do love that man, I certainly would not be able to do this without him.
As usual I am second guessing myself about the paintings, I like them both but always worry that there might have been something I could have done to make them better.
Yes, I am a perfectionist.
Well, I never finished on Thursday, so I am just picking up where I left off. We delivered the paintings on Friday afternoon, and no I am still not sure I selected the correct painting to be judged. LOL It's just me, I have always been my worst critic. We visited with my sister and brother in law and spent a lazy Saturday morning with them. We left by 2:30 to come home where I promptly died from exhaustion and pain. It was a rough night but I am so glad I was able to deliver the paintings safely.
It was a spectacular spring day in Boerne, the Bluebonnets and Indian Paint Brush were in full bloom and the trees were quickly donning there full foliage. The Cibolo Creek was running full and the ducks were parading up and down through the park for all the tourists to ooh and ahh over. If you have never been to Boerne Texas, you really need to make the trip, especially in the Spring. We had a beautiful trip down to Boerne, once you get past Brady the wildflowers are just beautiful.
Have fun painting this week and take care of yourself.
