My piece "Honeymoon in Venice" was juried into the Stars of Texas Show in Brownwood last week. This show is a real hidden gem in Texas. There were paintings from all over the state representing 44 cities. Over 300 paintings were juried, with 130 being accepted. It is an excellent show this year, with some amazing work. Mac and I attended the opening reception Saturday night along with our oldest daughter and 2 of our granddaughters. The show is held in the old train Depot, which has been restored, and is a wonderful venue for the artwork. There will be art demonstrations held all day, Monday thru Friday, for the next 2 weeks, with 3 artists daily, presenting their work in different mediums. The school children from local schools will come thru daily, as well as college students from Howard Payne University and visitors to the show. I will be demonstrating pastels over watercolor on February 9, from 9:00-4:00. Please join us.
